The Task

From the north facing cabin window that overlooks the yard and the woods I watch nature. I see each bird and animal that enter’s my yard going about its duty faithful to the task God has given it. Robins have raised their young in a nest in a black ash along the driveway. Chickadees and eastern bluebirds raised young in the nest boxes we built. A doe with her fawn and cottontails all busy with their task. Each flower that grew and produced seed. And my God given task is motherhood.

Taking care of us all is God. Faithfully He holds the seasons, our needs, the rain, and the sun in His hands and He provides exactly what we need.

“The words of the Lord are dependable; He is faithful in all that He does….The earth is full of His constant care…Let all the earth honour the Lord and let all people stand in awe of Him.” Psalm 33:4-8
