"She turned to the sunlight and shook her yellow head, and whispered to her neighbour: 'Winter is dead.' By A.A. Milne." Daffodils symbolize re-birth and new beginnings. I find it meaningful that spring comes first in the calendar year. I think that daffodils give us a message of hope. Every fall I plant a new clump. Can one ever have too much hope?

Hi Ronda! You lucky girl, you have daffodils We will not have them for at least two months yet.unless we get very, very lucky. Blessings to you- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a wonder that these beautiful yellow flowers bring hope that spring is coming! We don't have any blooming - yet - but they are working on it. Glad that spring flowers are already blooming for you!
ReplyDeleteI think there are yellow, orange, white, cream and pink daffodils along with various combinations of the above colours. This year I am anxiously waiting for the white, no maybe it is creme....but none of mine have any pink....at least not yet. Do you have snowdrops yet?
DeleteI think we are in a zone 7. It's normal for daffodils to bloom in march - their just a little early this year. Thank you for reading and commenting.
ReplyDeleteNo, we can never have too much hope.
ReplyDelete"Thank God for the promise of springtime
Once again my heart will sing
There's a brand new day a-dawning
Thank God for the promise of spring" -- From the song Thank God For The Promise of Springtime, by Bill & Gloria Gaither
I googled the song and watched someone else sing it on utube. It's very beautiful. Thanks for sharing Nancy.
