I lived alone with my baby in an off-grid cabin on a remote island off the coast of British Columbia. When she was 7 we moved to P.E.I and when she turned 11 we moved to the bush in northern Ontario.

Forest Mother: When I was two months pregnant I took the roof off my cabin. I added another floor with eight foot high walls and a roof. I worked alone in the rain and in the sun. I am not a carpenter. I needed room for a crib. My daughter is fourteen now. She is a very special gift to me and this blog is about our life.
